The foundations of computing group conducts basic research in various topics of theoretical computer science, with a particular emphasis on complexity theory, quantum computation, and cryptography. The group is funded by several European and Israeli research grants, and currently includes seven faculty members, as well as several Ph.D. and M.Sc. students. We run a weekly theory seminar as well as other weekly events like a student seminar and a theory lunch. The group is hosting visitors throughout the year, who work with the group and give talks.
